Some states are moving forward, while others, including California, seem to be moving backwards.

But you need an Estate Plan that works even if the law changes – A plan that protects you and your family both in and out of California.

Our Estate Documents plan forward to a time when all people can say “I Do” and be treated equally under the law nationwide. But we also urge you to plan for an emergency in an unfriendly state, a job move, or a weekend in Reno.

Children, are both a blessing and a responsibility. We urge you to ensure their safety and well-being in case you are injured or worse.

Free First Consultation for Estate Law Packages

Most of our services are offered on a flat fee basis.

Please be assured that we work hard to achieve a balance between a fair price for you, and fair compensation for the firm. We are not the “McDonald’s” of Estate Planning, and strongly recommend against such “drive-through/one price fits all” services. We spend time getting to know you and ensuring that your estate plan truly meets your needs and the needs of your family.

Our fees are generally considered to be more than competetive. We are happy to provide some pricing information by phone, but, of course, cannot quote a definite price until we understand your needs. This is not a gimmick! (Replacing an engine costs more than replacing a fan belt!).

Choosing a professional can seem difficult. As a California Estate Lawyer, I know next to nothing about electrical work. So when my kitchen lights stop working, I’m in trouble. I need an electrician who can do two things — analyze the problem correctly, and then use the right tools and skills to fix it. Without charging me an arm and a leg, taking me for a ride, or burning my house down. It scares me to put my family’s life and safety in the hands of someone I don’t know.

Some people feel the same way about lawyers. Which is one reason why our first consultation for state law packages is always free.

As your estate planning lawyer I am going to have access to your personal information. In order to do my job well, I have to ask a lot of questions and get to know your family situation. You should feel comfortable with, and confident in your lawyer. I can’t do my job otherwise.

Single parent or same-sex family? We understand the important legal differences of your family structure, and can help you safeguard your family and assets through Single Parent Estate Planning and LGBT Estate Planning. We provide packages that include pre-nups, post-nups, and no-nups (moving in together). We also do packages involving step-parent adoptions, for same-sex parent families.

Should I use LegalZoom or other online Will Forms? Is this a risk that you are willing to take?
