Alex spent many years in litigation (trial) work, including in Family Law, Domestic Violence, and Appeals. She has been formally trained as a Mediator and a Collaborative Lawyer (resolution without court). She also has significant training and experience in social services, psychology, and child and adolescent development. Thus she brings a vast number and variety of skills to the arena of Estate Planning.

At the present time, Alex is limiting her practice to Estate Planning, and the Family Law issues that are directly involved: stepparent adoption and couple planning (pre-nups, post-nups, no-nups, post dissolution, RDPs, LGBTQIA issues).

Alex lives in Davis, where her younger daughter attended Davis High School, played lacrosse, and "scooped" at Baskin and Robbins, and now attends CMC. Her older daughter is a graduate of UCSD.  Alex' stepchildren (and adored grandchildren) live on the East Coast.

Alex is strongly committed to equal rights for all people and all families, and takes pride in structuring Estate Plans that take into consideration the changing legal scene.

She is licensed to practice law in California and Washington, D.C.
